CCS .com: No Connection

The Challenge Coin Society was started back in 2005 by us through the .com and due to hosting issues the hosts played dirty and kept the domain under their name. Soon after we registered the domain again but with .org since the host keep it. Today Challenge Coin Society .com is owned by Coinable in which the URL is directed to the sale site. We do not endorse this url as a participating site and want to warn all visitors that this site has nothing to do with Challenge Coin Society .org. We do not support the redirected site of Coinable or the use of our name for the sale of challenge coins through Coinable. We wanted to make clear so none of our users suspected we were anyway connected with the website of Coinable.co. If you continue to their site we do not take any responsibility of any actions you take there.

We have been asked a few times and we felt this was enough concern to identify the non-existent relationship and its clear the redirection of the URL is purely for commercial gain with no real intention other to misdirect traffic from our long standing existence. For those reasons we condemn the use of the domain as it stands. In midst of finding this we also found another reason for concern. eMilitaryCoins and Coinable seem to be one of the same and even on the same server. They also are connected to another website Challenge Coin Comparisons in which only these 2 sites are linked while pointing out F ratings on the BBB. This site is also on the same server as Coin and eMilitarycoins in which only offers that other challenge coin companies have less of a rating than themselves. We find this connection to be very suspicious behavior and we urge that you do your research before you utilize these third party pages.

Our intention is only to clear the connection between our sites and re-establish our community name. We have no other information about this other than the quick find through WhoIS and Google. Their business practices are not in question but their intention to use our name is. You can find the same searchable facts as we have through a quick search on your own to verify this. We hope this helps and clears the air.

The Society Seal

Challenge Coin Seal

A lot of people may not understand the seal in a lot of ways, like why do we need it. The Society is ran by some of the top gurus in challenge coins and hold a pretty special status in the hobby. These people that use the seal are trustworthy, contribute to the hobby, and are more than just a seller in many aspects. The seal is a sign of more than just a dealer. We endorse those people out there that use the seal on their site, auctions, or anywhere in general. When you see the seal you should say thank you for that person’s contribution in helping to make this hobby great.

Anyone can collect and anyone can sell a coin. Those are things that are almost autonomous to achieve. Going above the normal expectations is what it takes to be on the board of members here on the society where great ideas and products come from. If you want to learn about getting in please talk to an industry leader to find out what kinds of things can help your chances when it comes to a vote with the panel.
