Coin Grading

Buying a challenge coin is one thing as you will pay whatever it is worth. However having a pricing guide to help with that process can sometimes be invaluable. We hope that you can use our guide to help you in your ventures in picking up new items along the way.
The CCS or Challenge Coin Standard (not Society in this case) is our standard in judging the worth of a coin but we realize not all coins can be priced against this standards because there is always exceptions.

CCS-A $300+ as a rare highest ranking civilian official

Examples: Authentic Presidential Coins, Head of CIA, Donald Rumsfeld,

 

CCS-B $150-$299 as a high ranking official that may not be as publicly

Examples: NSA Spinner Coin, Secretary Cabinet Members, Head of Agencies like FBI, DEA, Designer Coins

 

CCS-C $100-$149 These are valuable designer coins, or Special Forces rare coins,

Examples:

 

CCS-D $65-$99

Examples: SM of the Army, CMSgt of the Air Force, and other Top-Notch Brass of the Military

 

CCS-E $30-$64

Examples:

 

CCS-F $20-$29 These are general low mint coins that have a designer backed behind it, or Special Units coins

Examples:

 

CCS-G $15-$19

Examples:

 

CCS-H $9-$14

Examples:

 

CCS-I $5-$8 These are your normal coins found in a PX/BX

Examples: Base coins, Regular Unit Coins, Mass Minted coins, non-designer coins

 

CCS-J $0-$4 These are the bottom of the barrel coins.

Examples: Counterfeit base coins, Counterfeit Unit Coins
