The first challenge coin in the history of this company. It’s been happening for a while but no one has put the effort to commend the practice of companies figuring out that challenge coins do bring morale up through the awarding of coins. Dixon Ticonderoga, the makers of those pencils we have come to know through the years of schooling made their first challenge coin ever. U.S. Challenge Coins picked up this challenge coin and ran with it. This great pencil producer has been around since the 1800’s and it took them over 200 years to get into the coin arena. They wanted traditional and thats what they got.

They received a 1.5″ brass challenge coin with the company’s famous green and yellow color affixed to the coin. The coin shows the heritage showing the established date of the doors being opened since 1795 and the coin boasts the wonderful Prang logo. A great and unique coin that will obviously make it’s value increase because it’s not only the first but from a strong and well known American company. The producer U.S. Challenge Coins is the choice for most companies like Dixon because of the quality and the price. We have seen this company jettison into the top ranks of respected coin makers and we expect to see great things from them as time goes.

This post is about Dixon, but more so of the practicality of civilian companies increasingly looking for ways to increase morale and new ways to celebrate success. The challenge coin is a natural way to secure both goals. Getting a coin is special to many once they understand the importance and the history behind it. We see a very bright future in the expansion and use for such coins in the way management in the private sector begins to reward their employees.
